REAL BANKING CHALLENGE #01
Remote Account Opening for an Israeli Entrepreneur
Can I really open a European bank account without travelling?

An Israeli entrepreneur believed the answer was no — until we helped the bank understand his business.
The Situation
His business was growing.
More clients were paying in euros.
A European bank account had become essential.
But travelling to Europe just to visit a bank branch was not realistic.
Every website promised remote account opening.
Nobody explained why so many applications were rejected.
I wasn't looking for guarantees. I just wanted someone to explain why one bank says yes and another says no.
Why This Banking Project Required More Than Documents
Opening the account remotely was only one part of the challenge.
The bank also needed to understand the client behind the application — his business activity, the purpose of the account and the transactions expected through it.
In particular, the bank asked for:
- the nature of the client's business and professional activity;
- the purpose of opening a bank account in Spain;
- the expected source of funds credited to the account;
- the expected transaction volumes and types of payments;
- the countries from which incoming payments were expected;
- supporting documents confirming the client's business activity and income.
A set of documents alone does not always tell that story clearly. The information has to be consistent, properly structured and understandable from a compliance perspective.
That was the real challenge: preparing the banking project so that the bank could clearly understand who the client was, why he needed the account and how he intended to use it.
What Changed Everything
The problem was not finding a bank.
The problem was helping the bank understand the client.
Instead of asking, “Which documents do you have?” Elena Rozina asked: “How will the bank understand your business?”
We analysed the business model, expected transactions and banking objectives before preparing the application.
Every document had a purpose. Every explanation answered a question before the bank needed to ask it.

The Result
Remote account successfully opened
No travel required
Compliance review completed
Everyday international banking started
A few weeks later, the client received the email he had been waiting for. The account had been approved.
Could This Work for You?
Every banking project is different. But one thing remains the same.
Banks do not simply review documents. They review people, businesses and financial stories.
That is why preparation matters.
Case FAQ

Not always. Some banks may accept remote onboarding or a properly structured Power of Attorney, subject to their compliance review.
What documents are usually required?
Requirements vary, but banks commonly review identity, residence, business activity, expected transactions, Source of Funds and the reason for opening the account.
